SMALL FISH IN A BIG BIG POND.........

Well, disregard everything i've said thus far, it's all quite literally gone to pot!

Promise to update you all more thoroughly to the marvellous insanity that is my life, in the very near future! But, for the meantime this will have to do!!

Nutshell.....Pums gorgeous restaurant in Phi Phi seems, luckily enough for me,to be in need of a new manager, as dee dee needs to move to Phuket branch, Because Josh, present Phuket manager, really has become more of a company manager, especially now the company has expanded to include two more restaurants in France.I am insanely and unexpectedly happy and complete in Phi Phi, i have management experience, i think possibly my main passion is eating, and i love Pums. I love the decor, i love the philosophy, i love the location and of course, though it goes without saying, i love the food! And possibly more importantly, i'm looking for a job!

Except.....
Josh is gong to France in 3 days, Dee Dee can't be in two places at once and i cant cook the menu or speak Thai, and i have no clue asto how it is to work with an all thai staff or how it will feel to live and work in a country like this without my rose tinted glasses, for quite possibly the best part of the next two years?
so!
I am and have been working pretty much, 12 hour days, since last week, first with Dee Dee in Phi Phi and now here with Josh in Phuket, i shall be abandoned on friday, (the very day i have to do my very first intensive i2 hours travelling "visa run") here in Phuket until Mid January, when we will all sit down again and tackle some serious decision making about what happens next!
Holiday abruptly ended!
very sad at leaving the very lovely phi phi for the "sacriligious" (very appropriate wording there from Josh!) Patong, and quite overwhelmed at the prospect of what i need to learn in such a short period of time,
but!
hugely excited at the opportunity to learn so much, at getting a shot at a career in something like this, that i could be passionate about, in somewhere that i really feel could be home, admittedly a surreally beautiful home, but also just a normal day to day life kinda home.
So.... it's now 1am and i gotta get me some shuteye,let me know what you all think, all advice and suggestions welcome!
loving the comments page, but perhaps all you anonymous posters might not be so shy in the future! Missing you all heaps, sorry i don't have the time to write more individual notes. Really do love the ones i'm getting from you!
